“Hope is Such a simple
word. Just four letters. But like so many four-letter words, this one
packs quite a punch!
What does “hope” mean
to you?
Over the past few years
I have asked many people this question. The responses have been
illuminating, thought-provoking, and inspiring. They vary from a
simple wish such as “I hope I get a puppy for my birthday,” to a
fervent plea. “I hope the tests are negative.” “I hope my loved one
survives.” “I hope I can find the strength to endure this...”
For some, hope is a
lie. The very thought of hope evokes feelings of frustration and
anger.
What does “hope” mean
to you?
For me, hope is “Having
Other Possibilities Exist.” What a reassuring thought! No matter how
empty life may seem at this moment in time - no matter how crushed we
may be or how desperate our situations may seem - there is hope! Other
possibilities do exist for each and every one of us.
How would your life
benefit today if you chose to look at your current problems and
heartaches through the eyes of Hope?
This is a new day. What
other possibilities exist for you?
